There were almost 135 people in attendance at the Central Oregon & Gorge Summit to Reduce Rx Abuse held on October 14, 2015 in Redmond. Participants represented health systems, law enforcement, tribes, local government, substance abuse treatment agencies, community organizations and other statewide and local organizations.

The summit produced a list of action steps and identified champions in the regions. Law enforcement in Central Oregon is eager to help with OrCRM’s efforts to encourage disposal of unused medication at pharmacies and working on plans to carry naloxone in patrol cars for overdose rescue.
